Benonian Ben Oosthuizen claimed a gold medal in the U13 freestyle category and a bronze in the junior schools’ presidents category at the Ekurhuleni Open Wrestling Championship at the Brixton Multipurpose Hall on February 25.
The Laerskool Brentwoonpark learner and member of the Primrose Wrestling Club (aka The Raptors Wrestlers) helped his team to take 11 medals in the competition. The club collected five gold medals, two silvers and four bronzes.
