The opening game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup was a disappointment for Bafana Bafana fans, but SA remains hopeful.

Emperors Palace’s Diski Fan Park in the Red Roman Shed was packed to the brim on the evening of June 11 with excited soccer fans decked out in green and gold for Bafana Bafana’s opening game against hosts Mexico in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
