TV weekly must watch

Kick off your week with a documentary about a renowned big wave adventurer who puts his life on the line in his attempt to become the first person to stand up paddleboard solo from Africa to North America to raise money for needy children in Africa. But his next endeavour had never even been attempted. Co-captains of the time-ship Waverider Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe have dealt with monsters, time anomalies, and most recently, villains from Hell, but this season they will face something even more challenging and bizarre…space aliens! After one of their own is abducted by a ruthless alien, this new mission becomes personal. Watch DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 6 now on Showmax.

The Chair follows Dr Ji-Yoon Kim (Sandra Oh) as she navigates her new role as the chair of a failing English department at the prestigious Pembroke University. Ji-Yoon is faced with plenty of challenges and some high expectations, especially as she’s the first woman to head up the department and one of the few staff members of colour at the university. But luckily she has witty, no-nonsense Professor Joan Hambling (Holland Taylor), who’s her close friend and confidante, to help her meet the dizzying demands of her new role.
