Ntando ‘Napster’ Tshabalala made waves in the music industry when he featured on Rascoe Kaos’ latest single Nomfundo.
Napster is a 22-year-old from Vosloorus who started writing music in 2014 and first recorded songs in 2016.
He said he appreciates the warm reception from the music industry and thanks everyone who supported him as a musician from the first song he released to date.
“The support I received kept me going. I’ve been signed to the record label We Ready Entity since 2020 and have featured with many artists who saw my potential. This means a lot to me.
“One of the best tracks I was featured on is the one I did with my colleague, Rascoe Kaos.”
Napster is also working on a few music projects.
“I will soon release my EP titled Tswee. After this, I will release another EP in collaboration with Professor, Maggz and Rascoe Kaos.
“I have always loved music, but I wouldn’t say the talent for music runs in the Tshabalala family because I have not heard of anyone else in the industry apart from me,” he said.
His icons are Okmalumkoolkat, KO, Kwesta and Mass The Difference.
“I want to see my music go international, like Black Coffee’s music. My music is a mixture of kwaito, amapiano, hip hop and Mzonkonko.
“Young people who want to do music must go for it. They must start when they are young so they can learn the industry dynamics early on,” Napster said.
