The state of affairs has angered residents of Plantation who told the Advertiser that the reluctance and inability of municipal workers to urgently attend to water leaks have resulted in major water losses in the area.

The damaged main water pipeline in the area has allegedly been gushing kilolitres of treated drinking water 24/7 for more than a week now.

“We alerted the officials many times in the past week, but nothing has happened,” said one of the concerned resident Sebastian Smith.
