Criminals nabbed

Five criminals felt the long arm of the last week, when they were arrested by Brakpan police for housebreaking and hijacking.

On Tuesday, the Brakpan Hijacking Task Team arrested a 39-year-old man in Daveyton, Benoni, for hijacking.

The hijacking took place at address along Procter Circle, in Brakpan North, in June, and the man was linked to the case through his fingerprints.

On Wednesday at 8.50am, two men were seen trying to break into a house along Evans Street in Brenthurst.

The men, aged 27 and 44, fled the scene but were apprehended by police in Zeeman Street.

On Thursday, three men were caught trying to break into a guesthouse in Dalview.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man on the scene, while the other two fled.

A 28-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the case.

Both suspects are from Boksburg.
