Early Christmas for SPCA animals

Animals at the Brakpan SPCA can look forward to a wonderful Christmas, following the success of the society’s Christmas Day event on Saturday morning, last week.

Santa Cause for Paws donated hundreds of parcels to the Brakpan SPCA during the society’s Christmas Day event on Saturday. The organisation, which was started this year to help shelter animals have a better Christmas, collected the parcels from the public. Each parcel had to contain five items – something warm, something useful, something fun and two things “yum”. The organisation also donated parcels to Cat Village in Benoni and the Kempton Park SPCA.

The SPCA received numerous donations of pet food and other goodies, and was transformed into a festive delight, complete with Christmas stockings and a visit from Santa.
