
According to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, various parts of Brakpan will also be affected until Monday, March 17.
“Municipal engineers will be replacing the fibre glass metering enclosures with new protective steel enclosures,” said EMPD spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
The affected areas in Leachville Extension One on March 10, include Dikbas Street, Fuchsia Street, Tigerwood Avenue and Wilgerivier Avenue.
Tembuland Street, Hartsrivier Street, Seekoei Street, Kiepersol Crescent and Camelthorn Crescent will be affected on March 11.
On March 12, residents of Wildevy Street, Augrabies Avenue and Naboom Crescent in Dalpark Extension Six will be without power.
Winterberg Street, Swarthaak Street, Sterkboss Street, Chestnut Street, Etosha Avenue, Umkomaas Avenue and Bottlebrush Street, in Dalpark Extension Six, will be affected on March 13.
The affected areas in Dalpark Extension Six on March 14, include Etosha Avenue, Krinkhout Street, Silverbush Crescent, Torchwood Street and Saffron Street.
On March 17, residents of Raasblaar Street, Torchwood Street and Katdoring Street will be without power.
On all days, the power will be off between 8am and 5pm.
“Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive,” said Gadebe.
“The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused”.
