Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (April 4, 5 and 6):

Friday
Three burglaries were reported.

These took place at addresses along Lawrence Street and Bottlebrush Street in Dalpark Extension 11, and Van Zyl Street in Brenthurst.

Television sets, computers, jewellery and cash were amongst the items stolen.

Burglars stole laptops, cellphones, car radios and television sets from a business in Voortrekker Road.

They gained access through the shop’s roof.

Two cars were stolen.

A green Toyota Cressida was stolen from Voortrekker Road and a red Nissan Sentra was stolen from the corner of Voortrekker Road and High Street.

Thieves stole the wheels from a car parked at an address along Paul Kruger Avenue, Dalview.

The vehicle was parked in a locked garage on the property.

The thieves broke the garage door lock to gain access and also tampered with the vehicle’s ignition.

Saturday
Two television sets were stolen from a home in Saffron Street, Dalpark Extension 11.

Four cars cars were stolen.

A green Nissan Sentra, a blue Volkswagen Golf, white Ford Laser and white Fiat Uno were stolen from addresses in Van der Walt Road and Craigholm Street in Dalview, Voortrekker Road and Elliot Street.

Three television sets were stolen during a break-in at a furniture shop in Voortrekker Road.

Sunday
A silver Kawasaki motorbike was stolen from Kingsway Avenue.
