Gauteng’s biggest motor show comes to Brakpan today

The City of Ekurhuleni is the official proud host of Gauteng’s biggest motor show.

The  11th premier sporting event, taking place from today (Friday) at the Rock Raceway, will bring all the fun and adrenalin with a line-up featuring drifting, drag racing, SuperMotor, V8 Sprints and the Red Bull X Fighters Stunt Show.

According to metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe, this further affirms the metro’s position as an event destination with world class facilities to host the world’s most prestigious events.

This annual automotive action will bring an unforgettable experience to all motor enthusiasts.

The Gauteng Motor Show 2014 promises nothing less than a one-stop extreme ‘moto-tainment’ show, merging the thrill of live-action performances with audience entertainment aplenty.

“It is geared to provide a pulse-racing excitement for petrol heads and motoring enthusiasts, as well as an octane-fuelled day out for the whole family,” said Gadebe.

“As the City of Ekurhuleni it gives us great pleasure to show that we are not only a business destination but we can play too.

“This event adds to many events of historical and tourism importance that we have hosted as the City.”

Young and old motor enthusiasts and adrenalin junkies are expected to fill the 15 000 capacity venue at Rock Raceway.

The show runs until Sunday.
