Maintenance to cause power outage
A planned electricity supply interruption will leave parts of Brakpan without power from Monday, September 15, until Thursday, September 18.

According to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality spokesperson Themba Gadebe, this is due to necessary maintenance work to be done on metering enclosures — a process that includes the replacement of fibre glass metering enclosures with new protective steel enclosures.
The affected areas are Sallies Village and Brakpan North, and the interruption will be from 8am until 4pm each day.
Specific streets to be affected in Sallies Village on Monday, September 15: Crocodile Street, Fish Street and Fifteenth Street.
Streets to be affected in Sallies Village on Tuesday, September 16: Olifants Street, Second Road, Modder Street and Sabbie Street.
Streets to be affected in Brakpan North on Wednesday, September 17: Jansen Street, Hospital Road, Leary Street, Abramowitz Street, Grant Street and Pfuhl Street.
Streets to be affected in Brakpan North on Thursday, September 18: Hewitt Street and Hospital Road.
“Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive,” said Gadebe.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused.
