No excuse for this biker
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department arrested 12 motorists for speeding on Wednesday, last week.

The speed enforcement operation took place along the R23 (between Athlone Avenue and Rangeview Road), from 5am to 8am.
The speed limit along this stretch of road is 80km/h.
“A 32-year-old man on a Kawasaki motorcycle was caught doing a thundering 145km/h,” said EMPD spokesperson Wilfred Kgasago.
“He said he was speeding for no reason at all.”
“The second highest speed in this operation was by the driver of a Toyota sedan caught at 126km/h.”
The 10 other arrested motorists clocked speeds of between 116km/h and 125km/h.
“All t12 offenders were released on bail of R1 000 each, after being charged with reckless and negligent driving at the Brakpan Police Station,” added Kgasago.
