Friday
The driver of a Hyundai H100 was hijacked at the corner of Lower Road and West Street, Sonneveld, at about 9.30pm.
Two hijackers pointed guns at him and his passenger as they were stationary at a stop sign.
The hijackers ordered the pair out of the vehicle and told them to run away.
Wheels were stolen from a car parked at an address along Hofmeyer Street, Brenthurst, and a laptop was stolen from a car parked at the corner of Lemmer Road and Colliery Street, Rand Collieries.
Two burglaries were reported.
These took place at homes along Springs Road, Denneoord, and Station Road.
Television sets, a DVD player, personal documents and other goods were stolen.
Saturday
A red Ford Tracer was stolen from the corner of Dirk van der Hoff Street and Colliery Street, Rand Collieries.
Cash and liquor were stolen during a robbery at a tavern along Wenden Road.
The tavern’s owner and the establishment’s two security guards were held at gunpoint by three men, just after midnight.
Television sets, a DVD player, a cellphone, a laptop and other household items were stolen during burglaries at homes along Anker Road, Dalpark, and Glamorgan Avenue, Dalview.
A man was robbed of a large sum of cash, shortly after withdrawing it from a bank in the Brakpan CBD, at about 9.30am.
The man returned to his vehicle, which was parked along Voortrekker Road, and was approached by an armed man and a woman.
The robber took the cash, and he and his female accomplice fled the scene on foot.
A lawnmower was stolen from a business situated along Elliot Road.
Sunday
A cellphone, house and car keys were stolen during a burglary at a home along Anker Road, Dalpark.
Burglars stole a television set, DVD player and other goods from an address along Wildevy Street, Dalpark.
A Dalpark man was tied up and robbed in his Stern Road home.
The resident was awakened by three armed men at about 4.20am.
They bound him with wire and demanded money.
One of the robbers was armed with a gun, while the other two brandished knives.
While the robbers were searching the house, the resident opened a sliding door and screamed for help.
The robbers then fired one shot and fled the scene.
A television set, two cellphones and shoes were stolen during the robbery.
