Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (April 10, 11 and 12):

Friday

Two housebreakings occurred.

In Boven Street, a television was stolen and, in Tweedy Street, cellphones were stolen.

A scooter was stolen along Van Schoor Street.

A hijacking occurred along Denne Road.

Saturday

A vehicle was stolen at Carnival City.

Along Victoria Street, at 2.30pm, a pedestrian’s handbag was grabbed by a robber who ran away.

Sunday

A woman was allegedly assaulted by her sister in a hotel, in Brakpan.

A housebreaking occurred in Prince George Avenue. Cash and clothes were stolen and the suspect was arrested.

Another housebreaking occurred along Duncan Street, where a garage was also forced open.

A vehicle, two television sets and jewellery was stolen.
