Brakpan footballers ‘never walk alone’
Two Brakpan residents and football players have been selected to play for the u-21 Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Johannesburg team this season.
LFC Johannesburg is a division of their parent club, Liverpool Football Club in England, with an objective to develop future football stars in Africa.
Carlos Da Fonseca (17) has been selected to play right wing for the LFC u-21 team.
Da Fonseca attends Hoërskool Hans Moore in Benoni.
Jeffrey “Shorty” Syster, who will also be lacing up his boots for LFC Johannesburg this season, is a pupil at Dalpark High School.
Syster has been selected to play as a midfielder.
