Thieves nab four vehicles in one day

After four vehicles (including motorcycles) were stolen on Saturday, the Brakpan SAPS is appealing to vehicle owners to be cautious.

Two cars, one parked in Nossob Street, Dalpark, and the other in Queen Avenue, and two motorcycles, parked in Wenden Avenue and Cole Crescent, in Sherwood Gardens, were stolen.

The SAPS has urged owners to ensure their vehicles are properly secured whenever they are parked.

“If you don’t have a garage, keep the vehicle out of sight or covered,” said Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander.

“Make use of chains and locks on motorcycles if you have to.

“When you park at the mall, make sure it’s close to the entrance, or where the car guards can see the vehicle.”
