Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan Police over the weekend:

Friday

A vehicle parked at the corner of High Street and Queen Avenue was stolen. 

A family was confronted by armed robbers in front of their house in Wordsworth Street, Dalpark. The robbers stole jewellery and cellphones from the victims. 

In Hewitt Street, Sherwood Gardens, a housebreaking occurred. A laptop and a TV were stolen.

A garage was broken into in Middle Street, Rand Collieries. A car battery, generator, LED globes and coats were stolen.

A business in Station Road was broken into. Suspects gained entry through the roof. Copper cables and copper equipment were stolen.

In Escombe Avenue a business was broken into. A camera, computer processors and computer screens were stolen.

A housebreaking occurred at the corner of Main Reef Road and Lark Street, Anzac. A radio and a cellphone were stolen.

Saturday

A man was assaulted in Wenden Avenue by robbers at about 9pm. The robbers stole the victim’s money, tekkies and cellphone.

Sunday

No incidents of crime were reported.
