New Daveyton Clinic opens today

In celebrating World Aids Day today (Tuesday), the Ekurhuleni Metro will unveil the new state-of-the-art Daveyton East Clinic.

Each year on December 1, Ekurhuleni joins the global community in the fight against HIV and uses the opportunity to show the strides they are making in the fight against HIV and Aids.

The opening of the new health facility will be followed by a memorial ceremony, to be headed by mayor Mondli Gungubele.

The activities of the day will also include an educational drama, and Ekurhuleni health practitioners will conduct comprehensive health screening throughout the day.

The event starts at noon at the clinic, which is situated along Eiselen Street, Daveyton.
