
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
Friday – Two burglaries were reported.
These took place at addresses along Shakespeare Street, in Dalpark, and Willem van Zyl Street, in Minnebron.
Television sets, camera equipment and computer screens were stolen.
A botched burglary was reported at a home along Kiepersol Crescent, in Dalpark.
The homeowner was alerted to the break-in by a security company just after 9pm.
She rushed home to find her flat screen television on the floor of the sitting room.
The intruders gained entrance through a window in a bedroom by breaking the burglar bars.
Nothing was taken from the house.
Saturday – A tablet was stolen from a home along Hastings Avenue.
Burglars stole a television set, cellphones and a laptop from an address along Hendrik Potgieter Road, Dalview.
A green Toyota Conquest was stolen from Mall@Carnival.
Sunday – Two vehicles were stolen.
An orange Nissan Pickup was stolen from Mall@Carnival and a silver Toyota Tazz was stolen from Wordsworth Street, in Dalpark.
A car parked along Kingsway Avenue was broken into and a baby’s pram was stolen from the vehicle.
The pram was later found at a pawn shop and a suspect has since been arrested.
Two laptops were stolen during a break-in at a home along Voortrekker Road.
A woman walking along Queen Avenue was robbed of her cellphone by four men.
She was confronted by the gang at about 1.40pm.
After taking her phone, two of the men fled in a white vehicle and the others fled on foot.
