One man was caught in possession of dagga and another was found in possession of crystal methamphetamine.

Friday night crime prevention and visibility patrols by the EMPD Equestrian Unit members netted two suspected drug users in the Brakpan CBD.

One man was caught in possession of dagga and another was found in possession of crystal methamphetamine.

“At around 7pm, a 28-year-old man was confronted by the metro police and was found carrying dagga estimated to be worth R250 on the streets,” said EMPD spokesperson Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago.

“At about 7.30pm, the second suspect was found in possession of crystal meth, also valued at around R250, and was arrested.”

Both were charged at the Brakpan Police Station for possession of illicit substances.
