Two people sustained minor injuries after a truck collided with a light motor vehicle along the N17 highway in Brakpan this afternoon.

The collision happened at about noon.

The exact detail to the cause of the accident will, however, remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside another emergency service provider on scene.

“The driver of the truck refused hospital treatment while the driver of the light motor vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care,” said Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.
