Weekend crime round-up

Community members apprehended two men accused of robbing a woman of her purse at the Brakpan Taxi Rank.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – Tyres and mag wheels were stolen from a car parked at an address along Koot Street, in Withok Estates.

A laptop was stolen from a car parked at the corner of Prince George Avenue and Voortrekker Road.

A business situated along Voortrekker Road was burgled of a laptop, the hard drive for the CCTV camera system and cash.

Community members apprehended two men accused of robbing a woman of her purse at the Brakpan Taxi Rank. Two men robbed the woman at knifepoint at about 10.40am. She sought help from other commuters and the pair was caught.

A home along Dirk van der Hoff Street, in Denneoord, was burgled of two television sets, a DVD player and a games console.

A toolbox, two computers and a chemistry set were stolen from a business situated along Athlone Avenue, in Dalview.

Burglars stole two laptops, a tablet, a digital camera and cash from an address along Evans Street, in Brenthurst.

• Saturday – No information pertaining to incidents that took place on Saturday was received.

• Sunday – Three motorbikes were stolen from a residence along Lester Road, in Brenthurst.

A workshop situated along Muriel Brand Street, in Brenthurst, was burgled of tools.

Aluminium bars were stolen from a company situated along Neutron Road, in Vulcania.
