Father and son robbed after withdrawing cash
A man and his adult son were robbed of R29 000.
A man and his adult son were robbed of R29 000, shortly after leaving the bank from which they had just withdrawn the large sum of cash.
The pair were robbed in Leachville, at about 1.40pm, on Friday, last week.
The money was withdrawn from a bank in Mall@Carnival.
According to information received from Brakpan police, they arrived at an address along Boven West Avenue, when a white Toyota Camry came speeding down the street.
Three men alighted the vehicle and pointed guns at the pair.
They were forced out of their car and told to lie on the ground.
One of the robbers searched the car and found the cash.
The robbers also took the car keys, and a wallet and cellphone belonging to the son.
A case of robbery with a firearm is being investigated.
