Bargains galore at Hospice shop

The organisation is also in need of volunteers to assist the shop manager.

Hospice East Rand’s local charity shop was abuzz with customers when it opened its doors on Monday morning.

The shop, which is situated on the corner of Prince George Avenue and Kitzinger Avenue, has plenty to offer bargain hunters, from books and DVDs to clothes and beautiful artworks.

Customers were also treated to a hearty cup of soup.

Hospice East Rand is a community-based organisation whose mission is to provide high-quality holistic and non-discriminatory care for the terminally ill and their families.

Donation of goods for resale is an invaluable way of helping hospice to maintain its high standard of care, and charity shops form the backbone of the continuous income required.

Donations required for the shop include pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, linen, curtains, ornaments, mens’, womens’ and children’s clothing, toys, furniture, electrical appliances in working order, bric-à-brac, books, DVDs and CDs.

Arrangements can be made for donations to be collected.

The organisation is also in need of volunteers to assist the shop manager.

For more information contact Hospice East Rand on 011 422 1531 or send an email to info@hospiceeastrand.co.za
