Pets to receive free vaccinations
Rabies has been identified in the Boksburg area.

Free rabies booster vaccinations will be provided by a state veterinarian at the Boksburg Stadium on Friday, August 12.
The vaccinations will be administered from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
The free vaccinations follow the confirmation of rabies in the Boksburg area.
“We view this as a serious public health risk and strongly urge residents to have their pets vaccinated against rabies,” said Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
“This includes animals that may have been vaccinated in the previous year.”
The contagious and viral disease has been identified in Parkrand, Cinderella, Libradene, Farrar Park, Parkdene and the Boksburg CBD.
