Rapists sentenced to life behind bars
They took the victim to an empty house, where they each raped her.

It’s been more than five years, but justice has finally been served.
Two men who brutally raped a 15-year-old girl in 2011 were both handed lengthy prison sentences in the Brakpan Regional Court, recently.
The pair – Thato Shasha (28) and Jabulani Boya Thejane (24), both from Tsakane – grabbed the victim as she was walking alone along a street in Langaville Extension Six, on January 30 that year.
They took her to an empty house nearby, where each raped her.
Shasha and Thejane were arrested at the same house on February 13, 2011.
Sentencing took place on September 13, this year, and each was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court ordered that their names be added to the national register of sexual offenders and both were declared unfit to possess a firearm.
The case was successfully investigated by Det WO Leshole Monyele from the Brakpan Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
