Do you feel frustrated when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and still see those horrible bags under your eyes?
This might just be the case, and what bothers you the most is that even after resting, you still have those bags under your eyes. It’s not just from a lack of sleep, however, that you could have bags under your eyes.
They usually are signs of exhaustion, respiratory problems, heightened levels of caffeine consumption or stress.
Here are some home remedies to rid yourself of these bags:
• Place a moist towel on your eyes. Every night before going to bed, leave a moist towel in the fridge.
When you get up the following morning, place it over your forehead and eyes. You could also get an eye mask that acts in just the same fashion.
These two home remedies are effective in helping reduce inflammation. You should let it set for five minutes.
• Tea bags over the dark circles under your eyes. Whenever you make tea, try to save the tea bags in the fridge. When they’re cold, and whenever you have enough time to let them set, leave them on your eyes for 20 minutes.
During this time you should lie down for best results. After the 20 minutes have passed, rinse your eyes very well, as the tea could stain the skin a bit. The effect, however, that they will have on the circles under your eyes is fairly notorious, as they not only reduce inflammation, but also reduce the appearance of dark circles as well.
• Apply cucumber slices. When you finish the 20-minute tea treatment, you could also place one cucumber slice over each eye for 10 minutes. Cucumbers contain a lot of water and will help hydrate your skin, making it smooth.
• Aloe vera massages your eyes. Grab one of the leaves off an aloe vera plant and cut it in half. Extract the gel or the ‘crystals’ and gently massage the circles under your eyes.
This plant has lots of properties, including its ability to hydrate and tone skin.
• If you mix one tablespoon of coconut oil with one tablespoon of almond oil and then gently massage underneath your eyes, letting it set for 20 minutes, you will definitely notice that your bags under your eyes will quickly disappear.
Rinse well with warm water after the 20 minutes are up. This is a very effective remedy.
If, in spite of these remedies, the bags under your eyes still do not go away, then this means that your body is asking that you give it more rest.
The first step to take it to try to sleep for at least seven to eight hours a night.
This is one of the best ways to eliminate bags under your eyes.
Also, try using a daily moisturising cream that is made especially for the area surrounding the eyes. These creams will make the skin in this area look very nice.
