Gangsterism highlighted at crime meeting

Meeting was well attended by community members.

A large number of residents from Sector One in Geluksdal gathered for a crime meeting on Friday evening, last week.

The meeting was chaired by Sector One manager WO Johnyboy Mashale and, according to Tsakane SAPS spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu, was aimed at addressing the high levels of assaults, gangsterism and drug use in the area.

The meeting was also attended by CPF executive members David Mkhatshwa and Suzan Brown, as well as the ward councillor for the area, Clr Desmond Buitendacht, and his ward committee members.
