Win big with your photo this Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the Herald is launching a photo competition, where one lucky reader can win a R1 000 meal voucher.

Not only will the winning photo be published in the Herald, but the winner will also receive a R1 000 meal voucher courtesy of the Lake Restaurant.
The restaurant is known for its delicious food, which can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
We are looking for a photo which displays that special bond between a mother and her child/children.
It can be a fun photo or something more serious.
Photos must not have been taken more than four months ago and only residents from Brakpan can enter the competition.
Poor quality photos and those that have been digitally manipulated or altered (with text or graphics) will also not be considered.
The following information is required when entering a photograph (entries without this information will not be considered):
- Name, surname and age of each person in the photo.
- A short description of where and when the photo was taken.
- The person entering the photo should provide their name and phone number.
How to enter:
- Photographs must be at least 1MB in size and can be emailed as separate Jpeg attachments to brakpanherald@caxton.co.za (type Mother’s Day Competition in the subject line).
- Photographs can also be hand-delivered to the Herald’s office at 61 Van der Walt Road, in Dalview.
The closing date is Tuesday, May 9, at 9am.
