A foetus has been found dumped on a heap of burnt rubbish in the veld along Location Road.
A passer-by made the grim discovery this morning (Monday) and alerted Brakpan police.
The female foetus, which was wrapped in blue cloth and placed in a black plastic bag, was found near a small, homemade cross.
The cross was fashioned from cardboard and masking tape.
A case of concealment of birth will be opened.
