Robbery:

• A man was robbed of his firearm, cellphone and wallet on Tuesday.

The victim was walking home from work just after midnight along Ergo Road, near the Mkhankwa Village informal settlement, when two men approached him.

One of the men pointed a gun at the victim, while the other searched him.

The robbers fled in the direction of the N17 highway.

• A woman was robbed of her handbag while waiting for a taxi.

The incident took place at about 5.30pm, on Wednesday, at the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Craigholm Street, in Dalview.

The male thief had approached the woman and started a conversation with her.

When the woman opened her bag to search for something, the man grabbed her bag and ran off.

The bag’s contents included two cellphones, a set of house keys and the woman’s ID book.

• Four men robbed a company along Springs Road, in Denneoord, yesterday morning (Thursday).

Two security guards were confronted by the robbers on the premises at around 1.45am.

One of the robbers was armed with a gun, while the others were brandishing pieces of steel.

The guards’ hands were tied with shoelaces.

After more than an hour on the property, the robbers fled with truck batteries and copper cables.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A blue Mazda 323 was stolen on Wednesday, at around noon, from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.

Valuable items in the car included tools, workshop machines, house keys and two firearm licences.

• Yesterday, a red 1400 Nissan bakkie was stolen from Escombe Avenue.

The theft took place at about 6.30pm.

Burglary:

• Colliery Road, in Rand Collieries.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A vacuum cleaner, a kettle and other household items.

• Victoria Avenue.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: Shoes, pants and an amplifier.
