The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (May 17 to 18):

Cases reported:

• Burglary: 4
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1

• Traffic offences: 1
• Reckless driving: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Fraud: 2
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Trespassing: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 2
• General theft: 1
• Trespassing: 1

Burglary:

• Paul Kruger Street, in Dalview.

The break-in took place on Monday.

Stolen: Jewellery.

• Gairloch Street, in Dalview (business).

The burglary occurred on Tuesday.

Stolen: A laptop.

• Goods Road.

The residence was broken into yesterday (Wednesday).

Stolen: A TV.

• Corvette Avenue, in Kenleaf.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A bicycle, a lawnmower, a weed-eater and garden tools.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A car parked at the corner of Prince George Avenue and Gardiner Avenue was broken into, yesterday.

The incident took place at about 8.30am.

Two handbags were stolen.

• Batteries were stolen from a truck parked along Heidelberg Road, near the Mall@Carnival.

The theft took place yesterday and was discovered at around 4.50pm.
