Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A home along Naboom Crescent, in Dalpark, was burgled of a laptop and an extension cord.

* A battery was stolen from a truck parked along Denne Road, in Vulcania.

• Saturday – A blue Toyota Corolla was stolen from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Hastings Avenue

* A car parked at an address along Boyd Road, in Brenthurst, was stripped of its wheels.

* A wallet, car radio, an amplifier and a battery were stolen from a vehicle parked in Tweedy Road, Brenthurst.

* A Station Road resident was assaulted and robbed in his home by four men.

The victim was awakened by the sound of breaking glass at around 4am and saw the men climbing through a window.

The robbers grabbed the victim and bound his hands with a cable tie.

He was struck over the head with a firearm and strangled.

The robbers searched his bedroom and fled with cash.

* Two TVs and a laptop were stolen from a residence in Rachel Street, Sunair Park.

• Sunday – A Big Boy scooter (colour and model not provided) was stolen from an address along Olga Mitchell Street, in Anzac.
