Take charge of your pet’s health

For pet owners to qualify they must present their SASSA cards or proof of UIF registration.

A mass dog and cat vaccination campaign to assist pensioners and unemployed pet owners will be held on Monday, October 23.

To help prevent the spread of diseases, local organisation ABC Steri, in collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Veterinary Services and animal health technicians, will administer five-in-one and rabbies vaccines.

There is no charge for the vaccinations.

For pet owners to qualify they must present their SASSA cards or proof of UIF registration.

Vaccinations will be administered at the Just Wheels Club, along Kitzinger Avenue (use the Small Street entrance), from 8.30am.

Additional services such as dewormer and tick and flea treatments will be available at minimal cost.

ABC Steri has appealed for the donation of second-hand dog collars in a good and clean condition.
