• Common assault: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 1
• Possession of hijacked motor vehicle: 4

Armed robbery:

• A male commuter was robbed on a train by five men yesterday (Thursday).

The victim, who boarded a train from Springs to Johannesburg, was confronted by the group at around midday.

One of the men was armed with a gun and a knife.

They seached the victim and took his cellphone and cash.

The robbers disembarked at the Schapenrust Train Station, in Brenthurst.

Burglary:

• Hospital Road, in Brakpan North (business).

The break-in took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: Stock (not specified).

• Numbi Avenue, in Leachville.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A TV.
