Tip-off leads to dagga find

The estimated value of the confiscated dagga is R2 550.

Dagga was seized during a raid at a house along Taft Avenue yesterday (Sunday).

The search, conducted by members of the EMPD K9 Unit, followed a tip-off from community members about the house from where drugs are allegedly sold.

“The house was raided and the metro police came across 49 ziplock bags of dagga and one bigger packet containing dagga,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“The estimated value of the confiscated dagga is R2 550.”

Kgasago added that no arrests were made and the house will be closely monitored.

All the confiscated dagga was booked in at Brakpan Police Station.
