Tournament serves up a promising future for school tennis
Decathlon Alberton and Ace Tennis Academy joined forces to host the first ever Gauteng East schools entry level tennis tournament in Brakpan.
The tournament recently took place at Hoërskool Die Anker and catered to players of all skill levels.
Fifty-seven participants from high schools across Ekurhuleni entered and matches were played in a restricted time limit format.
Players from Hoërskool Die Anker and Hoërskool Stoffberg were among the entrants.

With the help of Decathlon Alberton, Ace Tennis Academy aims to re-establish tennis in schools as a mainstream sport along with soccer, rugby, cricket and netball.
An event for primary school players will take place on March 24 at the Dinwiddie Sports Complex in Germiston.
Entries close on March 16.
