The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 20 to 21):

House robbery:

• A young girl was raped during a house robbery in Sunair Park yesterday morning (Monday).

Two men broke into the house at around 3.30am and, after each raping the victim, fled with a TV, cellphone and tablet.

No further information was provided.

Hijacking:

• The new owner of a motorcycle was hijacked of the bike shortly after collecting it.

The bike (make and model not provided) was advertised for sale on an online classifieds site.

The victim met with the seller at a petrol station near Mall@Carnival at around 6pm last night and agreed to purchase the motorcycle.

The seller handed over the motorbike and papers to the victim, who then paid him.

The victim was leaving the petrol station on his new motorbike when a maroon Toyota Corolla stopped in front of him.

Four men alighted the car and attacked the victim, robbing him of his jacket, which contained the bike’s papers, some cash and his bank cards, and his helmet.

They threatened the victim with a knife and forced him off the bike.

One of the hijackers then jumped on the bike and sped off with the others following in the Corolla.

• The driver of a rental car was hijacked along Burns Road in Dalpark Extension 11 last night.

Three men, one of whom was armed with a gun, confronted the victim as he arrived home at around 8.30pm.

The victim was ordered to get out of the car, a white Volkswagen Polo TSI, and instructed to lie on the ground.

The hijackers then climbed into the Polo and drove off.

The car was later recovered along New Kleinfontein Road in Leachville.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Corsa bakkie was stolen from the corner of Wenden Avenue and Station Road on Friday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• On Sunday, a vehicle parked at an address along Brodigan Avenue in Dalview was stripped of its wheels.

The car was also broken into and its battery and radio were stolen.
