Devoted to helping wildlife

Attendees agreed that the course complimented their combined knowledge.

Three members of the South African Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (SAWRC), previously known as Wildlife in Crisis, recently attended and successfully completed an international wildlife rehabilitation course.

Angelique and Shawn Hefer, a married couple from Brakpan (founding members of Reptile And Wildlife Rescue), and Judy Davidson from Springs (owner and director of SAWRC) attended the three-day course presented by the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council and did exceptionally well with both the practical and theoretical examinations.

The course consisted of three modules:

• Basic wildlife rehabilitation

• Pain management

• Wound management

Attendees agreed that the course complimented their combined knowledge to further aid with future research and work done in the field of wildlife rescue.
