A permanent home for biker church
“We are a church for bikers, run by bikers, but anyone and everyone is welcome.”
A church for motorcycle enthusiasts has found a permanent home in Brakpan.
Started almost seven years ago, the Adullam Biker Ecclesia East Rand Church for Bikers is run by pastor Brett McDermid.
“We’ve been through many challenges and have overcome them all with the glorious help of God, including ultimately finding a church we can call home,” he said.

“We are a church for bikers, run by bikers, but anyone and everyone is welcome.

“Our doors are always open because of our love for God and our community.”
According to McDermid, not having a permanent home did not deter the church congregation.
“Our biking community has been reaching and preaching in small corners of Gauteng, getting out to the places where people are afraid to go, but also getting out to bigger communities in and around the East Rand,” he said.

“We strive to get the Word of God out to as many people as we can, connecting with people from all around South Africa, and the world, to ensure that those who want to know God and learn more about Him, have a place to go and people to talk to.”
The church, which also offers a children’s ministry, is situated at 134 Gardiner Avenue.
The Sunday church service starts at 8.30am.
McDermid can be contacted on 083 258 8271.
