Early childhood development services needed for Tsakane

The City of Ekurhuleni calls upon interested parties to submit their proposals to render Early Childhood Development (ECD) services for children up to the age of five at either the Tsakane or Eden Park ECD facility.

Both the ECD centres have the following amenities, which the service provider will be required to manage:

• A fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities

• Five classes to accommodate a maximum of 20 children per class including a nursery for toddlers

• Indoor and outdoor play area. The prospective service provider needs to meet a set of requirements to qualify, in addition to filling in the city’s lease application form, available from the real estate department at any customer care centre.

The requirements are as follows:

• Founding documents: registration document of the organisation or NPO certificate

• Approved constitution

• Profile of the organisation

• Certified ID copies of applicants as listed in the application form

• Proof of address: municipal rates and taxes statement

• One year financial statements

• A programme of activities for the development of children

• Motivation letter, not more than two pages

• Letter of support from a recognised ECD forum

• Management and implementation plan (administrative arrangements, maintenance plan, staff plan, security plan and sustainability plan); and

• Provide proof of clearance with the National Child Protection Register and/or SAPS.

Application forms together with supporting documents and annexures should be delivered at the Social Development Division, sixth floor, Alberton Civic Centre, Alwyn Taljaard Street.

Alternatively, submissions for the Eden Park ECD can be submitted at Thokoza Customer Care Centre at 1 Khumalo Street, Thokoza, Room 8A.

Submissions for Tsakane ECD can be handed in at 20 First Avenue, Clinic Building, Springs, room 10.

The closing date for proposals is Wednesday, November 21.

No late proposals and lease applications will be considered after the closing date.
