Arrests:

Burglary:

• Smyly Street, Brenthurst.

The break-in took place yesterday (Monday).

Stolen: Jewellery, a laptop and other household items.

• Greer Street, Maryvlei (business).

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: Power tools.

Attempted theft of motor vehicle:

• An attempt was made to steal a motorbike from an address along Queen Avenue during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Awakened by barking dogs just after midnight, the complainant got up to investigate and saw two men in his yard.

The would-be thieves ran off when they realised they were being watched.

A bolt cutter and a knife were found on the scene, and the motorbike’s steering lock was damaged.
