According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (March 26 to 27):

• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Tampering with infrastructure: 1
• Fraud: 1
• Common robbery: 1
• Speeding: 6

Arrests:

• Speeding: 3
• Common robbery: 1

Common robbery:

• A man was robbed of his cellphone at the corner of Victoria Avenue and High Street last night (Tuesday).

The victim was attacked by three men while walking home at about 11.40pm.

One suspect was later arrested.

Burglary:

• Springs Road, Sallies Village (business).

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Batteries (type not specified).

• Hendrik Street, Sunair Park.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, a gaming console and games, a DVD player, a hard drive and a speaker.

• Etosha Avenue, Dalpark Extension Six.

The residence was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, a tablet, laptops, clothing, jewellery and other household items.

• Gert Bezuidenhout Street, Minnebron.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: A microwave, groceries, a TV, a laptop and clothes.

• Bester Street, Minnebron.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A TV.
