According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (May 2 to 3):

Cases reported:

• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Fraud: 1
• Theft: 3
• Residential burglary: 3
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Rape: 2
• Business burglary: 1
• Traffic offences: 3
• Common assault: 1

Arrests:

• Theft: 2
• Housebreaking and theft: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Speeding: 4

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue, Brenthurst (business).

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Audio amplifiers, speakers and other valuables.

• Boabab Street, Dalpark.

The home was burgled between April 13 and yesterday (Thursday).

Stolen: TVs, cash, jewellery and clothing.

A Ford Ranger bakkie was also stolen from the premises.

• Poseidon Street, Sonneveld.

The burglary occurred on Tuesday.

Stolen: A sewing machine and overlocker, jewellery, a wine rack and clothes.

A suspect was arrested.

• Hope Avenue.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, a computer tablet, a pressure cooker, a desktop computer, groceries, a wristwatch, cosmetics, clothing and cash.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• On Wednesday, a CAM Inyathi minibus was stolen from Taft Avenue.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• A car parked at an address along Carney Street, Minnebron, was stripped of its wheels, yesterday.
