Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:

• Friday – Two men were arrested after a car and some household items were stolen from an address in Lancia Avenue, Kenleaf.

* A weed eater was stolen from a home along Hope Avenue.

A suspect was arrested and the stolen item was recovered.

• Saturday – A home in Gert Bezuidenhout Avenue in Minnebron was burgled of TVs, a sound system, a gaming console and other valuables.

* Shoes, clothing, TVs and a gas bottle were stolen during a break-in at an address along New Kleinfontein Road in Leachville.

• Sunday – Two men were robbed at gunpoint along Prince George Avenue at 7.20pm.

The pair were held up by three men travelling in a black Honda CR-V.

The robbers fled with four cellphones and a set of car keys.
