Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A home in Springs Road, Maryvlei, was burgled of a TV.

* A car parked at an address along Prince George Avenue in Brenthurst was broken into.

The vehicle’s radio, a toolbox, a set of keys and a wallet were stolen.

• Saturday – A company is Uranium Road, Vulcania, was robbed of undisclosed goods during the early hours of the morning.

Two men gained access to the premises around 3.30am and held the security guards at gunpoint.

The guards were robbed of their cellphones and other valuables.

* A silver BMW was stolen from Koot Street, Withok Estates.

* A woman was robbed of her purse and cellphone by a lone robber at the corner of Gardiner Avenue and High Street.

The incident took place around 12.10pm as the victim was walking home.

After pushing the victim to the ground, the man grabbed her belongings and ran off.

• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.

• Shoplifting: 3
• Possession of unlicensed firearm: 3
• Speeding: 4
• Possession of drugs: 1
