Cable faults are the cause of the current power interruption being experienced in Dalview.
According to information received from DA councillor for ward 31 in Brakpan, Jackie Reilly, the faults caused severe damage to numerous places along the cable.
Technicians have been working through the night to try and restore power by this morning, but additional cable faults were experience during testing.
This has extended the estimated restoration time to 2pm today.
