Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A home in Jones Avenue was burgled of a TV, a computer tablet and other valuables.

* A yellow Fiat Uno was stolen from the corner of Voortrekker Road and Wanderers Street.

• Saturday – Two men held up and robbed staff and customers at a beauty salon along Kitzinger Avenue.

The incident took place around 4.50pm and the gunmen fled with cellphones, cash and a handbag.

A case of business robbery is under investigation.

• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.

• Illegal immigrants: 6
• Drunk driving: 4
• Housebreaking and theft: 1
• Assault GBH: 1
• Common assault (domestic violence): 3
