
• Friday – Two batteries were stolen from a truck parked at an address along Queen Avenue.
* A woman was robbed of her handbag at gunpoint by the occupants of a blue Volkswagen Polo.
The incident took place around 11am as the victim was walking along Heidelberg Road (R23), near Mall@Carnival.
The handbag contained cash, a cellphone, cosmetics and other valuables.
* Three occupants of a white Toyota Corolla robbed a woman of her handbag along Umkomaas Avenue in Dalpark Extension Six.
The car was parked on the side of the road and one of the men threatened the victim with a knife as she walked past at about 11.55am.

The contents of her handbag included a cellphone, cash, bank cards and ID documents.
* A white Isuzu bakkie was stolen from the corner of Station Road and Kingsway Avenue.
* A welding machine, a drill and various other tools were stolen from an address along Floors Street in Withok Estates.
• Saturday – A silver grey Mercedes-Benz stolen during a house robbery along Rangeview Road in Dalpark Extension Six was later found in Soweto.
Six robbers gained access to the house around 2.15pm and assaulted a person in the house.
The person is believed to be employed by the homeowner.
After ransacking the house, the robbers fled with a TV, a microwave, perfume, two laptops, an iPhone, jewellery and other household items.
The Mercedes-Benz parked in the garage was also taken, but was recovered by a tracking company.
• Sunday – Community members apprehended a suspected thief after a woman was robbed of cash.
The victim was walking along Northdene Avenue at about 6.50am when she was attacked by four men.
She fell to the ground and one of the men picked up her handbag and helped himself to the victim’s cash.
The men then ran off, but were chased by community members who came to the aid of the screaming victim.
Three of the suspects evaded capture, but one was caught.
Police were called and the man was arrested.
