Benoni Flying Squad members arrested a man in Brakpan over the weekend after he was found in possession of a stolen motorbike.
The man was arrested at an address along Kiepersol Crescent in Dalpark on Sunday.
The Honda motorcycle in his possession was reported stolen in Johannesburg.
Other successes for the Benoni Flying Squad over the weekend included the arrest of two people in Etwatwa, Benoni, for allegedly selling cigarettes.
The pair was found in possession of 12 cartons of cigarettes.
The cigarettes were confiscated and the suspect’s white Toyota Etios in which they were travelling was impounded.
In further policing, three abandoned vehicles were recovered – a blue Mercedes-Benz along High Road in Kempton Park, reported stolen on a Pretoria West case, a white Toyota Hilux along Parkland Drive in Boksburg, reported stolen on a Northam case, and a white Toyota Quantum along Mockie Street in Daveyton reported hijacked on a Putfontein case.
